For the fourth consecutive year ESGnews.bg will offer an exciting and innovative framework for the ESG&FRIENDS 2025 forum, which inspires change and growth in business, institutions and society as a whole. On February 18, at the Hilton Sofia Hotel, leading experts, representatives of business and institutions will discuss the most current topics related to ESG and sustainable development.
The theme of this year’s forum “Sustainable. Resilient. Competitive.” promises to reveal current solutions and strategies for successful ESG practices and their impact on the competitiveness and future of businesses.
Inspiring leaders of change
A special guest speaker in the fourth edition of the forum is Ellen Wasylina, one of the leading experts in the world of sustainable leadership. She is the founder and CEO of Trocadero Forum Institute and will share her long-standing experience and passion for transforming businesses into more sustainable and socially responsible organizations during the forum, as well as her experience in building leaders who move the world in this direction.
Our other guest speaker, Zsófia Beck from Boston Consulting Group, will examine the critical role of the energy transition in the global context and its importance for the future of economies. She will also join the discussion on “Decarbonization and Clean Energy: The Business Transition to Sustainable and Clean Technologies”.
Astellas Pharma’s CEO for Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Hungary, Dr. Svetoslav Tsenov, has over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He will talk about integrating ESG into the company’s business strategy management.

Practical sessions
Stephanie Borowiec and Lisa Szeponik from Core will lead an interactive workshop, showing participants how to conduct meaningful due diligence processes that lead to real impact. They will also present key points from the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
The second workshop “Implementing an Alternative Sustainable Business Model”, led by Ellen Wasylina, will show participants step by step how to implement a sustainable business model that reduces the environmental impact and risk of business operations by following an ESG strategy.
Participants in the practical sessions will receive a certificate.
