The fourth edition of the ESG&FRIENDS 2025 forum, organized by the first specialized media for promoting ESG in Bulgaria ESGnews.bg, is preparing an exciting and practically oriented framework for discussing the most current topics in the field of sustainability and corporate responsibility.
On February 18, at the Hilton Sofia Hotel, leading experts, business representatives and institutions will discuss the business regulations that have come into force, the new directives and requirements for tracking supply chains.
After the discussion part, Ellen Wasylina from Trocadero Forum Institute will explore with the participants in this workshop the principles of a sustainable business model, how to implement it, and put into practice through ESG investment, using the ISO 14001:2015 framework, and putting it to the test through five regional challenges. Through practical examples and expert insights, participants will uncover strategies for integrating sustainable development into their value chain and closing the weakest gap, the supply chain, to delivering value to their customers while meeting the triple bottom line.
Key discussion points will include:
- ESG principles and their application to the implementation of a sustainable business model.
- Implementing the ISO 14001: 2015 framework from the responsibilities of Leadership to Policies, to communication, to pollution to emergency preparedness.
- Concrete application exercise for meeting one of the five regional challenges: reducing plastic, increasing waste recycling, encouraging sustainable and seasonable food, installing clean energy, installing clean mobility options.
- Reaching the ultimate goal of achieving an entirely circular business model, with maximum efficiencies and minimum waste.
This interactive session is ideal for corporate decision makers, sustainability directors, corporate investment officers, policy makers, mayors, deputy mayors, HR professionals, corporate training professionals, suppliers to large companies, renewable energy companies, waste management companies, consumers, young people looking to make an impact, seeking a job in a sustainable company, all seeking actionable insights to navigate evolving sustainability landscapes while driving, demanding meaningful change.
