Nominations for ESG AWARDS 2026 are open

ESGnews.bg is the first specialized media for promoting sustainable practices in Bulgaria, and the application process for their ESG AWARDS 2026 starts today (October 1^st, 2025) and will continue until November 30^th, 2025.

For the second time, the site will honor companies and organizations that make efforts in the field of sustainability and social responsibility.

The winners will be awarded in 4 categories:

• Sustainable Strategy
• Sustainable Leader
• Sustainable Investor
• Sustainable Supply Chain Management

The prestigious awards will be presented during the fifth edition of the ESG&FRIENDS forum on February 17^th, 2026 at the Hotel Hilton Sofia.

In February 2026, we will again present the ESGnews.bg Readers’ Award, which will be voted for online on the ESGnews.bg website from January 1^st to January 31^st. The topic of the survey in the second edition of the awards will be: “Best practices for energy efficiency and renewable energy”. You can expect more information on how to join the competition soon on the ESGnews.bg website.

After the end of the application period, our authoritative jury will evaluate the participants. Organizations from all fields of activity that are registered in the Republic of Bulgaria can participate in the competition – commercial companies, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, etc.

Separate category for SMEs

For the first time, ESG AWARDS will have a separate category for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). All companies from this group that demonstrate innovative approaches in environmental management, social responsibility and good corporate governance can take part in the competition. The deadline for applications is November 30^th.

“Small and medium-sized enterprises play a key role in the economy as part of supply chains. They deserve the attention and support that will help them continue to build their sustainable future,” commented Bozhidara Zhivkova, Editor-in-Chief of ESGnews.bg.
