ESGNews.bg, the first specialized media for promoting ESG in Bulgaria, for the first time presented a special award for “Sustainable Business” in the contest “Mr. and Mrs. Economics 2023”, organized by the magazine “Economics” and the largest employer organization – the Confederation of employers and industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB).
The award went to the CEO of “Glavbolgarstroy Holding” Albena Angelova. The award was presented by Mr. Boyan Tomov, creator of ESGNews.bg and owner of Brand Media Bulgaria.
The solemn ceremony was held in “Sofia Tech Park”. For 33 years now, “Mr. and Mrs. Economics” has been honoring Bulgarian entrepreneurs, managers, economists and financiers who have contributed to the high success and development of the Bulgarian economy.
The symbol of the competition is the statuette “The Fisherman and the Golden Fish” by maestro Stavri Kalinov, whom we lost earlier this year, and to whom the guests of the ceremony paid special tribute.
For another year nominations for the competition were submitted to the KRIB Board of Directors, whose members determined the winners. The employer organization has been a partner of “Economy” magazine as a co-organizer of the competition for the past nine years. Due to the high competition, the jury decided to award two prizes in some of the competition’s categories.
