ESG commitment is becoming increasingly important in the modern business world, and companies are beginning to realize the importance of sustainable development and social responsibility. ESGnews.bg announced in February its first ESG AWARDS, with which it will give due credit to those who excel in this field. Application to the contest started on March 1 and will continue until May 31.
Winners will be awarded in four main categories
- Sustainable Strategy
In the “Sustainable Strategy” category, we will evaluate the company’s vision and approach to sustainability, its integrated approach that includes goals and plans aimed at a balanced impact on the environment, society and company management. The main focus is on innovative and sustainable practices that contribute to sustainable development and growth.
- Sustainable Leader
The “Sustainable Leader” category will highlight leaders who lead by example in the area of sustainability and who not only demonstrate commitment and vision in this area, but also successfully apply sustainable principles in their management and interactions with stakeholders.
- Sustainable Investor
In the “Sustainable Investor” category, the emphasis is on the commitment and influence of investors in the field of sustainability. We will recognize investors who not only strive for financial success, but also integrate environmental, social and governance factors into their investment decision. They are an example of a sustainable investment approach that combines profit with social benefit and environmental responsibility.
- Sustainable Supply Chain Management
The “Sustainable Supply Chain Management” category focuses on companies’ efforts to optimize and improve their supply chain. It assesses the integration of sustainable practices in all aspects of the supply chain – from production and transport to distribution and waste management. Innovative approaches that contribute to reducing the environmental footprint and improving the social responsibility of companies are highly valued.
ESGnews.bg calls on all organizations that share the commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility to join this important initiative and share their stories and achievements.

ESGnews.bg readers’ award
Every year in the competition, a prize will be awarded by the readers of ESGnews.bg, who will be voting in a poll on the site. In the first edition of the ESG awards, we will recognize the company that collected the most votes in the survey on the topic “Best practices in the field of recycling and sustainable waste management”.
Companies wishing to participate in the survey must briefly answer the following two questions, and the answers must be sent by April 30, 2024 to [email protected]:
- What are your current and future initiatives to improve your environmental footprint through recycling and waste processing?
- What innovations or technologies are you implementing to improve the efficiency of your recycling processes?
Voting in the site poll will run from May 15 to June 15, 2024.
