The Executive Director of the Global Compact Network in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Antonio Hautle, will be a special guest at the upcoming ESGnews.bg “ESG AWARDS” 2024 ceremony, which will be held on September 19 at the Hilton Sofia Hotel.
During the ceremony, Antonio Hautle will give a speech in which he will share his views on the future of ESG practices and their importance for global business. His expertise and commitment to sustainable development will contribute to increasing awareness and inspiration among Bulgarian companies to continue developing and implementing sustainable strategies in their operations.
Who is Antonio Hautle?
Antonio Hautle is known for his many years of experience in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Since 2015, he has been the Director of the UN Global Compact in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, where he works to promote socially responsible business practices. His career is marked by numerous initiatives aimed at creating a more just and sustainable future, and he actively participates in international forums and conferences related to these topics.
Previously, he was director of the welfare departments of the canton of Lucerne and the city of Lenzburg, as well as director of the non-governmental organization Fastenopfer.
He has a background in philosophy, business ethics and Catholic theology. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from HEC University of Geneva.
Antonio is a board member of the Swiss Institution for Human Rights and co-chair of the Program Consultative Group (Swiss Confederation) until 2030.
The “ESG AWARDS” 2024
The ESGnews.bg awards aim to distinguish the best practices and innovations in the field of ESG in Bulgaria. Candidates in the competition are evaluated according to a special methodology developed in partnership with the academic community.
The winners of the “ESG AWARDS” 2024 competition will be honored in four categories (“Sustainable strategy”, “Sustainable leader”, “Sustainable investor” and “Sustainable supply chain management”). Two special awards will also be presented – an award of ESGnews.bg readers and a special prize from the ESGnews.bg team.
Strategic partners of the first academic ESG awards in Bulgaria are the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact and the Faculty of Economics and ESG Lab of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
