The application process for the ESGnews.bg awards, the first specialized media for promoting sustainable practices in Bulgaria, starts on October 1st, 2025 and will continue until November 30, 2025.
For the second time, the site will honor companies and organizations that make efforts in the field of sustainability and social responsibility.
“The ESG Awards are our initiative to celebrate and encourage leading examples in the field of sustainable development and corporate responsibility in Bulgaria. With the awards, we want to emphasize the importance of leading practices in the field of ESG and to inspire more organizations to get involved and to integrate sustainability principles into their strategies,” said Bozhidara Zhivkova, Editor-in-Chief of ESGnews.bg.
After the application period ends, our authoritative jury will evaluate the participants. Organizations from all fields of activity that are registered in the Republic of Bulgaria – commercial companies, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, etc. can participate in the competition.
Separate category for SMEs
For the first time, the ESG AWARDS will have a separate category for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). All companies in this group that demonstrate innovative approaches to environmental management, social responsibility and good corporate governance are eligible to participate in the competition.
“Small and medium-sized enterprises play a key role in the economy as part of supply chains. They deserve the attention and support that will help them continue to build their sustainable future,” Bozhidara Zhivkova further commented.
The prestigious awards will be presented during the fifth edition of the ESG&FRIENDS forum on February 17, 2026 at the Hilton Hotel, Sofia.
